This was a real treat to come across. I really enjoyed the writing and the characters in this book. I'm not sure yet just what the heck is going on in this town, but the story was good enough to keep me coming back for more. Can't wait until the next one! Things in the town of Waters Edge are usually pretty normal and quiet. Until the day the army moves in and takes over and tells everyone to go home and stay there.

A few friends who are in school when this order is given decide to not go and find out what is going on. Well, lets just say that they do find out, and are not pleased with the info. This is the first in a series of short stories involving a group of friends in a town that is over run by zombies. It does have its own style that sets it apart from the regular zombie tale and is an enjoyable read, but make no mistake there IS gore.

The characters are really what carries this book. They are well developed and you get a sense of each ones personality. I am looking forward to the next book in this storyline.
